Clinical Hypnotherapy

Clinical hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that uses the natural power of the unconscious mind to help people overcome behavioural or psychological issues. In my experience with hypnotherapy, I've found it to be a natural, safe, and empowering method for optimising performance, confidence, and wellbeing.

  • Part two is the treatment. During a period of relaxation, you will enter hypnosis which is an altered state of awareness that targets deep learning. In this space, your unconscious mind is more receptive to positive suggestions, metaphors and processes that align to your desired outcome. You will be relaxed, fully aware of your surroundings and have total control of the experience.

    A therapeutic intervention in two parts.

      

    Part one is discussing the change you want to achieve. This is a therapeutic conversation that includes questioning and listening. This is a useful conversation whereby motivation towards achieving the desired outcome increases and more awareness about the situation develops. 

     

    In your first session we will also discuss how, what, and why hypnotherapy works.

  • I also teach my clients self-hypnosis which is a skill for life. It enables you to continue your practice, maintain your desired outcome and wellbeing.

    Clinical hypnotherapy is known to be effective for:  

    • Relaxation

    • Performance 

    • Confidence 

    • Anxiety

    • Phobias 

    • Stress

    • Insomnia 

    • Pain management

    • Smoking cessation 

    • Weight loss

  • Like meditation it's a great tool to use for train journeys, air travel and as part of a morning or evening wellbeing routine or when needed.

    If the conscious mind is a goal setter, the unconscious mind is the goal getter.

    The experience of hypnosis and meditation is very similar, and they both promote wellbeing. They involve:

    • Relaxation and control 

    • Awareness of surroundings 

    • Elements of guidance and visualisation

  • Working with me includes: 

    • A free 30-minute consultation.

    • 60–90-minute sessions, either online or at my clinic in Essex.

    • Between one and four sessions, depending on your goal and timescales.
